LEARNING ABOUT OUR PASSIONATE TEAM AND HOW YOU CAN HELP
To sweep away poverty and abuse against woman and children
Let us take a look at what we have achieved since 2007 when we laid the foundation of youth for survival to assist the youth from birth to 80+ to survive and endure the challenges this life has to offer.
Its really simple - We changed lives! We assisted with healing the discouraged, broken, sometimes defeated people of South Africa!
We are not taking stock, it is unnecessary. We know God is sending the people who need us our way!
We need your contributions to support our worthy course:

SEE WHAT OUR HOME REFURBISHING BROUGHT US
This Renovation, Refurbishment, Spring Cleaning and Moving around the furniture did us all some good, I think - clutter clear and now we have clarity and objectivity and can refocus on what really matters.
This is a reminder as you still need to spring clean your house this year, especially when you stayed there for a few years.Gathering so much stuff that you never use or need. Why don’t you try it, throw out the old and bring in the new, maybe to reshuffle like what we mostly did will make a difference.Someone else probably need it or will make use of it?
We all get so used to the day to day life where we get bound by routine, we rush off to work, grab a quick take away meal, paying someone to cleaning up the house, giving the children money to spend…..Are we achieving what we wanted to achieve in the first place?
Attitudes, Approach on life, Relationships, Love, Respect, Self Confidence, Food, Clothing, Schooling, A birthday present, a kettle, emotional support, guidance on when life is unfair with bullies, Skills development to find a way to live – mainly to survive.
Make a difference, Make each minute counts, if you don’t want or need it or if you have R50 to spare each month, why don’t you sign up with a monthly donation commitment?
You can choose which Pillar or Project you want to support. It is your choice!

Youth for Survival (YFS) is a Non Profit Organisation that was registered in 2007 with a national footprint. It operates from a head office in Pretoria, Gauteng with satellite branches in four other provinces:
Our mission is to address socio-economic challenges faced by women, children and youth in underprivileged communities, through provision of developmental programmes and giving a holistic support to women and children who are victims of abuse.
Youth for Survival's vision is to empower and heal victims of abuse, while also placing unemployed beneficiaries into learner-ships, employment and helping some to become self-employed.
To facilitate, promote, create jobs and income generation opportunities for community development with specific focus on youth, women and children.
Our services have 9 core programmes namely Skills Development Training, The Tshwane One Stop Safe House for Women and Children, Victim Empowerment, Anti-Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Campaign, Reintegration of Correctional Services Parolees, Scholar Support, Home Based Care for the Aged, Legal Awareness and Community Nutrition Development Centre.
Youth for Survival (YFS) trains unemployed youth and women coming from abusive relationships skills that can help them to become employable or self employed.
Offering Woman the opportunity to access facilities to learn skills which can assist them for the future.
The skills of manufacturing the Cooking Bag are taught to beneficiaries to enable economic sustainability through the employment opportunity which this skill enables as well as the income it generates.
The Tshwane One Stop Safe House for Abused Women and Children is Youth for Survival’s transit shelter for abused women and children, where they receive a holistic support, which includes free counselling, legal advise & skills training.
Offering women and children the opportunity of having a balanced homely atmosphere with a bed to sleep and nutritious meals daily while empowering them for the future.
YFS partners with the South African Police Services (SAPS), Community Safety and the Gauteng Department of Social Development to work in Police Stations Victim Empowerment Centre’s. This Legal Advice Awareness workshop programme targets women and children who are victims of abuse and aims to enable people to protect themselves from being exploited .

We over 120 volunteers placed in 10 schools in the North West and Gauteng provinces. The facilitators are assigned to also run the Anti-Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Campaign, Anti-Bullying and Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign. The facilitators work alongside school Teachers. Volunteers become confidantes to learners thus becoming the eyes, ears and the hearts of the community. One of their valid core function is to make referrals for students who are experiencing social problems.
Teenage pregnancy is one of the major factors exposing women to becoming victims of abuse later in life. YFS carries out Anti-Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Campaigns in schools across Tshwane Municipality. During the campaigns teenagers are taught about the health implications and social consequences of falling pregnant when they are still young. The participants voluntarily pledge to not fall pregnant until they are mature enough and financially independent.
We believe that everyone deserves a second chance therefore we have the active program of Reintegrating Correctional Services Parolees or how we refer to the programme - The Prodigal Child.
We assist ex-offenders to reintegrate successfully into society that crime is something of the past.
Victims of abuse always fear the day the perpetrator is released. We create an atmosphere whereby the victim is agreeable, face the reformed perpetrator so that she can at least relax and not live in fear. We strive to have a continuous rehabilitating relationship with the ex-offenders to prevent such offenders from going back to crime.
As one get older one realise that the always easy tasks sometimes becomes a bit tricky. We have caregivers allocated to the elderly to live in or to check up on their health and well-being during different intervals depending on the requirements.
We ensure in certain instances that there is a cooked meal, the elderly person enjoys a daily bath, that their health are taken care of, that they have this extended hand to buy something at the shop if and when required, that they receive a balanced nutritional meal.
Our Community Nutrition Development Centres in Brazzaville and Pretoria West feed over 600 plus beneficiaries daily. We also offer them life skills and refer them to entities where we know certain skills are required or job opportunities are available. We also offer our range of personal enhancement training courses which we hope to develop further and issue award recognition and or qualification on the training courses we offer.
Nutrition is one of the key fundamentals for each human's sustainability. If you are hungry one can't concentrate on anything what to say do anything productive.
